“Harriet worked for us after I had given birth and had had an operation. She helped with both my 6-week old baby and my four year old. Having Harriet there made such a huge difference. At first I thought it would feel a bit funny having someone working for us like this but it was amazing and took so much pressure off when I was struggling with my own health. Harriet cooked for us, did washing and cleaning and was generally a sage pair of hands who could hold the baby or help when we went out with my son. It made a difference to me that Harriet was a trained nurse so she could help check any concerns I had. Harriet is such a wonderful person I felt really happy having her in my home.”

“My partner and I discovered we were expecting our first child soon after moving to London from Istanbul. With not even a GP registration yet, we quickly found ourselves navigating a new country and healthcare system. Harriet supported and advocated for me throughout this process and helped me to have an extraordinary homebirth experience. Her presence was a constant source of strength, unwavering support and expertise.
From the moment she arrived, Harriet brought a sense of calm and reassurance to our home. She was there every step of the way, providing invaluable support with soothing aromatherapy oils, comforting massages, and endless encouragement. Her expertise and calm demeanour gave me such a feeling of safety that I was able to focus on my body, go inward, and embrace the natural progression of labour. When it was time to push, Harriet guided me with different positions and techniques to help me bring my baby into the world.
After hours of labour, I finally held my newborn daughter, Rona, in my arms. Harriet's support didn't end there; she stayed with us, ensuring both my baby and I were comfortable and cared for in those precious and surreal first hours. For an empowering and positive birth experience, I highly recommend Harriet.”

“Harriet was an incredible help when my partner and I were preparing for the birth. We knew we just wanted it to be the two of us in the room, so Harriet helped us develop our birth preferences covering all potential outcomes, and how to advocate for my wishes with medical staff. This was so valuable especially because my preferred birth was in a birth centre with only gas and air as pain relief, but I ended up choosing an epidural and then ultimately had an emergency c-section. Despite the birth not going the way I wanted, I ultimately had a very positive experience. Talking everything through with Harriet beforehand really contributed to this.
I then worked more fully with Harriet postnatally. She is just so encouraging and positive and is there to celebrate every little win, which is so important in those weeks after having a baby. She cooked meals, attended breastfeeding clinics with me and tended to the baby allowing me to shower or have a nap. The first few weeks after having a baby are tough, they were made easier with Harriet’s support.”
